Hi! I purchased a used Eclipse 3. But it was working fine when I had it checked out by a local med. Supply vendor but now it beeps 3 times and has a red light flashing. It is in a well ventilated area and I just replaced the filter accessible from the back. When I press the smoking button down it gives me the code AC-04. I know this means low oxygen <70%. Using brand new tubbing, humidifier, etc. What can I do to fix it? We are in Dallas. Is there a local servicer or something? Reset?

Replied on: 2017-03-24 at 07:27:09
Hi Linda, resetting the machine will not solve the problem. In most cases this problem arise due to unclean filter or some problem in sieve beds. Since you have replaced the filter, it is highly likely that the problem is with sieve beds. For that you will have to take the oxygen concentrator to your service provider. Unfortunately, we don't have the database of the dealers in Dallas.

Hi Satish, SeQual Eclipse 5 will suit well for this requirement. SeQual and AirSep are sister companies (both owned by Chart Industries) so you can contact AirSep distributors in India to find SeQual machines. Here is a list of AirSep / SeQual dealers in Hyderabad. Hope this helps.

Hi Terry, we don't have a database of AirSep service providers in USA as of now. In most of the countries, if you have the original bill and the machine is under warranty you can claim it. For information specific to your region, you must contact an authorised service provider.

Hi Jack, your Eclipse 3 is giving low oxygen. Mostly this happens when the intake filter is clogged or needs replacement. Also try keeping your machine in a well ventilated place. If the problem persists, contact your equipment provider.

I recently acquired an Eclipse 5 Oxygen Concentrator from my medical provider. It came with a power supply that allows it to be run by plugging into the cigarette lighter in my 1998 Subaru Outback. When I plug it in it beeps and after a few seconds it stops receiving power from the car, the light on the power supply goes out - if I unplug it and plug it in again it beeps and goes on car power for about 60 seconds and then loses the electrical connection to the power supply. They swapped out the power supply and the new power supply is doing the same thing. All my other cigarette connection devices work fine. Is there a problem with Subaru's and this power supply?
Oxygen Times
Replied on: 2015-09-01 at 13:19:08
It seems that the problem is with Subaru's power supply. The DC power supply of Eclipse 5 has protection circuits for output over current, input over-voltage, and internal over-temperature conditions. If any of these conditions exist, output power gets interrupted and the LED turns off. These three conditions are self-resetting, and output power resumes when protection circuits fall back into acceptable operating ranges. Try connecting your machine to some other car's DC source and it should work fine.

I connected the power supply to the cigarette lighter connector in our Ford Ranger and it worked perfectly - I start the car and plug in the power supply and then press the on button on the Eclipse 5 and it works as expected.

It appears my 1998 Subaru outback is not compatible with the power supply for the Eclipse 5 Concentrator - So, I'm planning on using an inverter DC to AC from the cigarette plug to the Eclipse 5. I know I can run the Eclipse 5 on 1 LPM or 2 LPM. Would you please tell me the Wattage required for each of those settings? And, how can I calculate the equivalency between LPM and Pulse settings. Thank you so much for all your help.
Oxygen Times
Replied on: 2015-09-04 at 00:32:45
Eclipse 5 requires 52 watts at 1.0 LPM Continuous Flow to 145 watts at 3.0 LPM and 45 watts at 1.0 pulse setting to 95 watts at 6.0 pulse setting. The pulse settings are usually equivalent of same amount of continuous flow which means that Pulse Setting of 2 is equivalent of 2 LPM continuous flow. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much! It appears the only way to use the Eclipse 5 in the car, because the Eclipse 5 Power Supply power supply is not compatible with the 1998 Subaru Outback, is to wire a Pure Sine Wave Inverter directly from the car battery to the interior of the car. I'll do that and then I can use the clean AC from the inverter to power the Eclipse in the car. I'm using a 300 Watt Inverter and an Inline 20 amp fuse. I hope this helps other people with the same unusual situation.

I have done an annual maintenance of my SeQual portable oxygen concentrator but the light still flashes yellow. Is there a reset button, or how can I get it checked out.
Oxygen Times
Replied on: 2015-06-17 at 04:01:14
Hello Charles
The problem in your SeQual Portable Oxygen Concentrator could be due to one of the following 4 reasons:

Case 1:

Alarm: Yellow light is flashing and there is no audible alarm.
Cause: POC has detected low oxygen levels.
Action:

  1. Clean and replace the air intake filter.
  2. Check if the nasal cannula or humidifier is not blocked.
  3. Keep machine in a well ventilated place i.e. 3 inches away from walls from all four sides.

Case 2:

Alarm: Yellow light is flashing and the alarm is giving 1 beep every 2 minutes.
Cause: Power Cartridge (battery) has become warm.
Action:

  1. Re-charge the power cartridge using AC power.
  2. Replace the cartridge with a fully charged power cartridge if you have a spare one.
  3. Allow the battery to cool outside the machine for 30 minutes.

Case 3:

Alarm: Yellow light is flashing and the alarm is giving 2 beeps every 30 seconds.
Cause: The voltage of power cartridge is low
Action: Same action as in Case 2.

Case 4:

Alarm: Yellow light is flashing and the alarm is giving 1 beep every 2 minutes.
Cause: There is a flow restriction due to low or blocked flow.
Action: Same action as in Case 1.

If the problem still persists then there must be some problem with the internal components. Contact your equipment provider in such case.

SeQual Portable Oxygen Concentrator can be reset by removing the power cartridge and AC power supply.
